About Me

Baishali Ghosh
I was born a dreamer. Always dreamt of being something or the other - to be a renowned cook, to travel the world, to lead the life of a celebrity, be a recognized author. In my childhood, I really didn’t put in any effort to realize any of my dreams and was more busy enjoying my life otherwise. Joined a cooking class, attempted to write and recite but left everything half-baked. I think I was actually in love with those ideas. And like most young Indian girls, I got married to the idea of marriage very early in life. And when marriage eventually happened, it came with the responsibilities. I knew almost nothing about cooking when I got married. Then on, cooking became a necessity, a challenge and slowly I was caught up in it. I started enjoying it. I get excited by the magic of spices, food, fire and the myriad colours, variety of tastes and aroma that it throws up. Three important men in my life - my Hubby, my Son & my Dad; all are very fond of food. My son lives to eat and not eats to live. The first sentence after he wakes up in the morning is ‘What will be menu for dinner tonight?’.. and he already went to sleep with the menu for next lunch or his school tiffin. So, I had to cook , and it has become a passion for me.

  2. Very nice! You took a very bold step towards fulfilling your dream. In APJ Kalam's word it reminds that dream is ..."something that does not let you sleep...". All the best and good luck...
